1. Vanki

Women in Tamil Nadu traditionally wear kaikappu,vanki armlets, which are V-shaped and have a unique design in the center. These armlets are made in Thanjavur and look heavy on their own.

2. Oddiyanam (Hip Chain)

The oddiyaanam is another piece of jewellery worn by women, typically as a hip chain. Made of gold or silver, this ornament was traditionally used to help keep women’s figures slim and to avoid flabbiness in the hips and abdomen.

3. Thalaisamaan

Thalaisamaan is a traditional gold hair ornament worn by Tamil women on their wedding day.

4. Nose Stud

Tamil brides usually wear a nose stud called Beasari, which has seven or eight stones, as well as Bullakku, a designer jewel worn in the centre of the nose.
